Where you there?

If you weren't at PPI, that means Point Pleasant Inn and Resort, last weekend you are just not a rock star, like I am, Duchess the Dog or just Duchess the Rock Star!

Woof, Woof, Woof and again I mean Woof. That is dog talk for Rock, Rock and rock some more!!!

Mom and Dad were in Maine for the weekend, so that left Will, my best friend and Me, Duchess in charge of guests and their special entertainment.

Now, don't tell Mommy or Dad or even nosey Uncle Tim, but we partied hard with lots of fun guests. We had some great guests that could play the piano and sing, especially after they had a little bubbly. (That means Champagne) Will taught me that.

Well, everyone knows that it is getting too cold to swim in the pool at night especially, but it didn't stop these guests from New Jersey, Juli and Chris, or even the older couple, Tom and Mary O'Brien? No way, Jose'! They went swimming and played volley ball and then someone pushed Will in and then the party was none stop. We were smart enough to unplug the cameras that survey the pool so we wouldn't get into trouble and Phoenix Office or Uncle Tim couldn't see what we were up to.

Frananda came in and made a big, big breakfast 'cause everyone was "hung over". I don't know what that means but every single guest needed a lot of Advil and then something from the bar called, "hair of the dog." I swear I didn't put any my hair in anything but that is what the guests called that red drink.

Mommy called this morning and asked "is everything okay, Will?" Of course I told Will to say "Yes, Mame." Mommy likes to be called Mame because she says it is polite and southern correct. Oh, brother.

Well, Mommy and Daddy are due back today, and that is okay. It's just we have to put on our best behavior and that is not always the bestest fun. And, and, of course, I have to have a bath. Booo! I just hate baths. Swimming is cool and sometimes Will let's me swim in Mom's big bath tub and Sh! and even in my parent's hot tub on the deck, but a bath? Please!

So, I know it's coming, I hear the water running in the big deep mop sink on third floor. I see Will getting the Doggy Shampoo, towels, brush and for gosh sakes the blow dryer! I hate that darn blow dryer. It is so humiliating. The whole bath process. First he stuffs my ears full of cotton because Mommy said, "if you get one more ear infection I am going to give you to the dog pound." Do you believe she would do that?

Well ears stuff, legs shaking, heart pounding, stomach queasy, and the next thing I know I am shoulder deep in the mop sink getting all my good doggy smell washed away. Then it is that darn blower dryer thing and then the brushing.

After I live through this process, I run all around the third floor and shake and roll. But not the shaking and rolling like we do when we dance and party. No, this is misery at its' best.

That's it for now! You coming this weekend? Cause Will and I have a big surprise down at the fire pit.

Woof,
Duchess the Rock Star
